slow stream 6100

sorry double posted this somewhere else and just realised it should be here:

I have got 2 x 6100 streams one is about 8 months old with the blue writing on the back and the hole through the middle of the impellor and the other one is an older one with the yellow writing and the impellor with the brakes on and screw in the end of it rather than the hole. The problem is with this one, I have cleaned it out thorougly and soaked it in white vinegar but it still runs extremely slowly probably giving out about 10% of the newer one. Anyone know why and how it can be remedied?

Was the driver turned down at any point? Is the upper bearing stuck to the magnet? Both could cause this, the motor could also be dying.

Thanks Roger, looking at the cleaning post I would say the bearing is solid to the magnet, also don't have the o ring in this one and never have had....guess this may not help. Any idea what size the o ring is?. Thanks. Simon.

13 x 2.5mm It is our part 3000.612 You can just pry the bearing off and clean it with vinegar.

sorry roger my mistake, the bearing had prised itself off and was still sitting in the back of the pump with the o ring behind it. It is extremely loose and not really attatched at all. I have thoroughly cleaned everything though and it is now running at approx 50% of the other...guess it has just worn out?

It could be, you might try swapping the drive unit from your new one and then you might try swapping the drivers and see if you can find the cause.
