slow tissue necrosis???

these montipora are growing away from the light (downward) but I'm losing tissue at the top. Anyone know why? What should i do?

I've tried cutting a line across to do a sort of fragging, since normal means of SPS fraggings are not possible. It worked for a while but eventually I lost the entire colony.

Is it really STN though? Is it from flow or too much light? Would putting epoxy on the dead part keep it from spreading?

my encrusting montis do not like to be at the top of the tank, i nearly lost my superman until I moved it down a few inches, then it started growing back

the superman is halfway up. I could break the plug off the rock and move it down. The sunset is at the top and can no longer be moved as it has grown onto the liverock

did you change your bulbs or put new ones in recently? I thought those where new frags from the pictures sorry

No, new fixture purchased aug 09, haven't changed bulbs yet.
