small amount of algae on a frag, how do i get it off??

I had to send my circulation pumps out for service and am making do with a couple of maxijets on my 75g sps tank. On frag was sitting in an area with little flow and has a small amount of algae growing on it. How can I get this off/what should I do about it. I already moved it.

Can I scrub this or just put it in really high flow??

It really depends on the algea. Hair algea will not come off with higher flow while Cyno will.

Sure, doe that mean it is dead that it has algae on it? The algae can only be seen when you get very close. It is maybe 1/16 of an inch long and slightly brown.

If algae is growing, it should be bare skeleton. Cut it off.

I used a very soft toothbrush to clean it off. The tissue is definatly not dead. I will see how it turns out.

if its a little, it'll grow over that area
