small area of sps is bleaching

small shaded area of my new sps is bleaching

should i be worried... if it dies it is just a small area ( its kinda right under a branch.)
the rest of the SPS looks great.. altho there is a small patch that looks brown when i first turn on the lights but it goes away after the polyps extend a bit

Keep a close eye on it. It's hard to say if it from a lack of light or something else. Do you have a pic? If you think it is getting bigger, might be time to start fragging.

stayed the same size since i got it. its just really shaded by another branch

If it hasn't grown, the white patch, then I wouldn't be to worried. I have corals with the same thing, where the underside, or shaded are, has turned white.

i broke off a tip accidently when i was transporting the coral. this spot is directly bellow that. that is one thing i forgot to mention ( altho after 3 days it seems there is already new growth over the spot that broke... that supprised me
