small clam tanks

wondering if it would be possible with the correct lighting and filtration to keep a few smallish clams in a 20g tank?

This would be a species tank, with the only real focus on the clams

If anyone thinks this is possible, what kind of equipment would be recommended.

I have had a 72g reef running for almost 2 years now, so not a complete newbie and would be able to keep up with a normal maintanence schedule

the tank is 12" deep

Any ideas would be appreciated

Sure. You would want a 150w or even a 250w metal halide bulb to keep them all happy. A calcium reactor is probably a must as they have a super high CA/ALK demand. Filtration is like any other reef, but you could just make it easy and tie it in to your mail system.
Good luck!
