Thinking of adding a small Cuban hogfish to my established 42 gallon. I had a peppermint hogfish in the tank for about 2 years with no issues. I sold him when I was looking to shake things up in the tank.
I think that I've had more problems with Peppermints and Candy hogs as they grew than with Cubans. If you start with a small one you'll probably never see it get anywhere near 12"
