Small Cuban Hogfish in a 42 gallon?

Thinking of adding a small Cuban hogfish to my established 42 gallon. I had a peppermint hogfish in the tank for about 2 years with no issues. I sold him when I was looking to shake things up in the tank.

I have no shrimp or crabs in the tank.

Any way this could work?

I think that I've had more problems with Peppermints and Candy hogs as they grew than with Cubans. If you start with a small one you'll probably never see it get anywhere near 12"

A small one in a 42g would be fine, as long as you are prepared to eventually re-home it.
