small feather?

does anyone know if in fact this is nothing more than a feather? theres about 8 diferent ones in that rock, they look like a feather but i was wondering just what excactly they are..

I can't really see it but I have tons of little featherdusters on my LR. They look like this:

yea thats what they look like. there not in a tube they are in little holes in the rock but as for the feather its the same. do you know if they are the same as the bigger ones you can buy, and i am assuming they grow? thanks for any help you can give.

Some of mine are just in holes in the rock too. They will never get big like the fancy tube worms that they sell. They are good critters to have.

This is just a suggestion... but if those "dusters" aren't in a tube I would start looking @ the aiptasia part of this forum or start looking a pics.

They look alot alike when they are young and you might not be able to distinguish the two easily.

Just a thought...
