Small Hammer Placement

We added a small hammer about two days ago. Its under t-5s about 18" on the substrate. Generally we put LPS up higher, but the LFS said it would do fine on the substrate. Seems to be not opening fully and the fish are active in that area. Any thoughts on this or info I can provide? Its in an area where we had another hammer for years.

Took my hammer at least 3 or 4 days to fully open. What's the flow like down there?

The flow is real even and moderate.
