smd 5050 led's

hi all, i am gearing up for my first reef tank. i will be using a 130 gallon plywood tank that measures 50.5x26x24. eventually it will be a lps/sps tank but for now it will mostly be a FOWLR with a couple softies.

so when i first started building this tank it was going to be for cichlids but i have now changed my mind. when i started building the tank i ordered some of the smd 5050 cool white led strips to light the tank with. i have a total of 120 chips of the cool white and a 300 rgb smd 5050 leds. i know these will not work for lps/sps corals.

so my question is can i use these lights to get the cycle started and to keep my fish until i build my dedicated 3 watt led fixture?

fish/cycle doesn't need lights at all.. and you really shouldn't have fish in there when you are cycling anyways.

i know i will not have fish in for the cycle. will these lights work for keeping the fish afther the cycle?
