snail eggs

my cerith snails are constantly covering my glass with egg trails, and have been for a long time... but i never see any babies. i was just wondering if anyone actually has babies popping up in their tanks after they see the egg trails.

i never see anyone eating the eggs or anything, they just kind of disappear from the glass after a few days or so. maybe they never get fertilized? not sure how these guys operate or when the fertlization occurs. this also made me think of ron shimek's theory of our salt mixes, etc., containing so many chemicals that a lot of the animals end up infertile.

so any thoughts/ponderings would be appreciated. just curious

I had quite a few bloom of baby snail and I think they are cerith base on their shell. I don't see any baby snail of the other types I have in my tank.

My angel loves those eggs if he can get to them. I haven't seen any egg on my glass since I added the angel but have seen them in between the rockwork where they are safe from hunger fishes.

I figured they always were picked up by the sock, skimmer or eaten before the matured.......why dose oyter eggs and $20 a jar when one can grow snail eggs.......

I always see them in my nano, never see any babies though.
