Snail for diatom? GSP/Yellow polyps....

Icefire

Seasoned reefer
I'm in my diatom bloom since maybe 1week. (2 months old tank)

I have beeb given some GSP/yellow polyps.

I thinks the diatom keep them half closed.

I blasted the GSP with a test kit pipette and today they more open.

I fear to blast the YP the same so.

Any good snail for diatom? Maybe for the next green bloom too?

How long the bloom last?

I have found Cerith snails help with diatoms, But Travis is correct in that it will pass if you have enought flow and are not overfeeding.

5 nassarius snail right now.

I want to stay away from hermit and snail that are stupid (won't turn over)

Also looking for a small goby that won't make a big mess, LSF:

Orange spoted guttata goby
Jawfish
Dragon goby
Blue spotted goby
Black spot goby

Any idea?

Your biological processes in the tank aren't complete. I would wait another month before adding a fish. This will give micro/macro fauna/flora a chance to level out their populations. Adding a fish will only throw things further out of whack.

Well got 2 small clowns right now, got 0 nitrite after 2 weeks, so I waited a month before adding fish.

Look like my bloom was just delayed..
