I would be a little concerned that the eggs with it are not its eggs. It does appear to be cerith sp., but I really dont know enough about snail id to tell for sure. I am pretty sure however that cerith's do not carry eggs with them. How long has it been in your tank?

at least a year since its been longer than that since I put anything in (except a mexican, turbos, emeralds)

it was smaller before (duuhhh) it does not appear to be the same exact shape as Melvel's id but its a little difficult to tell - thats pretty much why I am asking

Yep, it's a Cerith. Not many species in the family have that odd siphonal canal, and at first glance I thought it was going to be Cerithium rostratum, but... that species always has a dark purple or black tip on the siphonal canal, as far as I know, and should have stronger (taller, and more angular) sculpture. I think it's the species that Barry Wilson calls Cerithium cf. torresi ("Australian Marine Shells, Vol. I," Pl. 17, Fig. 11A & 11B). Wilson wasn't totally sure that this was the correct name for the species, but it also looks pretty close to examples some folks have posted to the net. It's been assumed to be restricted to Western Australia, but may not necessarily be. At least some of the photos of shells believed to be C. torresi came from the Philippines.

(The bottom photos of C. rostratum are mine, and are typicial examples from Tonga)
