Snail ID (picture!)

Anyone know what type of snail this is?



I've seen him roaming around a few times. I haven't seen any damage from him but I wanted to make sure he was reef safe.

Ohhh....ummm....it's on the tip of my tounge...a LFS in my area sells those by the bunch.

I haven't seen them for sale before in my area, but it looked like it a cerith like trunk on it, though it was very small. The shell's patterns looks like some of the snails I've in seen in Hawaii, but those guys were like 2-3".

Eric. Does it have a cone shell?

It does seem more conical than most snails. It isn't exactly pointy, but it is elongated.

I believe it's a Euplica (dove shell). Beneficial detrivore/herbivore.

Because I have seen one recently in my tank. Only about a 1/4 inch long. Never seen it or one like it before in my tank.
