Snail ID?

Does anyone know what kind of snail this is? Reef safe or predatory?

It's a Chicoreus species, a kind of predatory murex. It won't hurt your reef, but certainly may eat any other snails in your tank.

Lot of great pics on the reeflex site. I don't know enough about many of the animals identified there to rate their accuracy, but the snail/slug ID's are only about 70-75% accurate. Most of them are identified to the correct family level, though.
