Snail ID?

I was playing around with my new camera (Nikon D-50) and a cheap screw on macro lens when I spotted 2 tiny snails that I have never noticed before they are each less than an 1/8 of an inch.

What kind of snails are these?
How big will they get?
Will they keep their nice color when they grow?

At a glance, they look like baby " banded turbo" snails/ trochus snails.
Adults have a black body, purple and white swirled shell. Excellent nocturnal algae eating snail that is able to "flip" itself over if it falls off the glass/ decor.
I am currently looking at D-50/D-70 cameras. What do you think of your D-50???

The D50 has been great for me. It is my first SLR so I have alot to learn but overall it's pretty easy to use. I would definately consider getting a good macro lens because I feel i'm very limited on taking good close up shots with the stock 18-55 lens.


I know a few people with D70's and (IMO) the pictures are not really any better considering I resize all my images for the web anyway.
