Snail in Drain

Now I know why I took the time to glue a small piece of eggcrate into my durso standpipe drain one less thing to clog up the protein skimmer pump:rollface:

That's happened to me before, found snails in the pump and inside the injector of my MRC skimmer. I was wondering why it wasn't working properly.....

I sure hope to skip that problem, at least for that one snail in the picture and here is hoping that the grate will keep snails and fish out of the sump

Ive heard stories where snails got in the return pipes and people woke up to 20gs being on the floor.
