I hope I am not in trouble for posting this in more than one area but I am looking for varied opinions..
Hi! I don't even really know where to post this one! Last night I was taking a look at the tank before I did a water change & was stunned to see an odd looking snail on the back wall of my tank. After closer inspection I realized that it was one of my Nassarius snails minus its shell!?? There is no doubt that it is indeed a Nassarius & I am including pics. It is still alive at this time & I pulled it out to get some better pics. Anyone have any idea what the heck happened??

You can consider it fish food. While the mantle can regrow the shell it is more likely to be eaten before that happens. I had a cerith do the same thing which was the strangest things I had ever seen, it lived for a week or two and then disapper. Good luck.

Happened to mine about a month ago. I watched my blue legged hermit rip it out of its shell. It only lived for 6 days after that.
