Snail Madness!

So when we first started building tanks like 6 months ago, there were 2 tiny hitchhiker snails on a piece of rock (that we saw, I'm sure there were more). They were about the size of BB's. Well, they're EVERYWHERE now. There are probably over 100. They're still pretty small, the bigger ones are growing about to 1/4".

I'm somewhat concerned about this 'infestation', but also look at it as a free CUC, figuring if they eat out all the algae, they'll die off.

However, are there snail types or quantities that I should be concerned about??

My hunch is that they are... ummm begins with an S.... ? They usually have a smooth flat shell and their foot tends to protrude on all sides. They do breed well in our environments but in my experience, never reach a point of infestation or become problematic. If you want clean a few out, just harvest them and toss them in your sump or bag em and give them to your local reefers.

I'll have to shoot a pic of some of them. I didn't think it would really be anything to be too concerned about, but figured it would be easier to ask now than to regret later.
