snail rescue mission

So, I just witnessed a snail rescue mission. had a mexican turbo on his back in the corner of my tank. base of LR had him blocked from any attempts of rescue from above by myself. So why trying to devise a plan of action I saw another mexican turbo (who had been cleaning high on the glass) start his descent. He came down to the snail in question and him latched onto the rescuers shell and was carried away. Rescuer brought him down to the sand bed and left with rescued snail right side up and happy.

Pretty cool to watch and makes you think about what kind of communication really goes on inside your tank.

I used to have a damsel in a 20G hex, he used to sit in the corner facing my computer when I surfed the web and he was hungry. He'd just stare... his eyes would read "Hey you, jerk with the white can, FEED ME!"

I'm with ya, I think theres a small amount of communicatitive ability that all animals can do, not sure how they'd be able to survive at all in the wild without it
