Snail shooting out White Liquid!!!! Help!!!!

Hater of Hair Algae
My turban snail is at the top off a rock and it looks like he's breathing in and then exhaling white stuff, what is that???

He's about 3" away from an acro, should I be concerned?????

it's probably spawning. I have a population of black limpets that just spawned in my tank as well. I wouldn't worry about it.

My chestnut snails do this. Some shoot out eggs that are a greenish yellow color while the males shoot out sperm. Not sure what triggers this, but the females start, then the males follow.

So the snail is coming close to the acro with its white stuff?

You may end up with little Acro Snails if your not careful...

Maybe differant lighting and whatch your P * * N in a differant room.

Actually its a good indicater that they are happy with water quality and food source. If this spawning doesnt produce any offspring then a few more snails maybe in order.

I've never seen my snails spawn but I have tons of baby cerith and turbo all over my rocks. Not sure if they will grow to adult size. Maybe calcium supplementing is in order even though its a FOWLR.
