Snail Surprise

After looking at those pics i'm beginning to think they were all trochus snails now. And I must have removed about a dozen or so babies already. I dont recall seeing any type of spike on them like in the photos. The next time I pull one out i'm going to take a long close look at it.

minus9 - if you could post those pics when you have a chance i'm curious

They are very segmented.

Sorry for the extra blue pics, but I'll try to find the smallest one and take a pic in better light.

That's exactly what mine looked like. Now I'm ****ed that I pulled out all of those babies and drove myself nuts getting to them.

At least I feel better knowing they aren't Sundials.

Yeah, it's better to be safe than sorry. At least now you know. Be patient and you'll have more, another benefit of trochus, they tend to breed a lot in a healthy environment.

I was finally able to get the dude in my sump today. I pulled him out and got come close ups, and then put him back. I don't see anything on him that resembles a sundial which leads me to think he's a baby trochus. He is small...maybe a 1/4 in diameter at most.

I've attached some pics. Can anyone confirm that this is NOT a sundial, and IS a trochus?

Thanks again!
