Hello everyone, i have these white dots on the glass on my tank they are a bit bigger than the size of . (a period) I was reading a book and i remember seeing something about snails laying eggs on the glass. Im sorry i dont have any pictures, but i was wondering if anyone has ran into the same thing or if anyone know what these white things are. Maybe this will help, Ive got a clown fish, a royal gramma, blue damselfish, strawberry dottyback, 2 annenomes, 1 annenome crab, a bunch of hermit crabs, and a bunch of snails. Hopefully that helps, Thanks in advanced.

If they move, they're copepods. If they hatch and then move, particularly at night, yes, snails.

Some snails lay eggs on the glass, but there are also lots of other sources of white dots on the glass. Some possibilities are hydroid jellyfish, foraminiferans, spirorbid worms, "pods", or eggs from various snails. None of them are anything to worry about.

Hey, thank you everyone for the replies. Ill just let them be then. But i do have a question. If they do turn out to be snails, im going to end up with about 45 new snails, how are they all going to live in my tank?

The population should regulate by itself. If you think you have too many, you can always donate some of them.
