*sigh , I have already told him about us retailer store/online sotre owners weren't allow to post anything for sale or pictures that are anywhere related to selling even in our display tank, as that falls under commercial items under RC rules. That is why you hardly ever see me/Eric/Jen or anyone that owns a store get involved in buy/sale threads and post pictures of corals or our tanks.
IMHO, reefcentral is a great resource that have lots of information regarding to the saltwater realm, and i believe that everyone deserves a second chance.. Moderators, if you can contact hugo and give him a complete outline on what he can and can not do, I am sure he will benefit the reefin community. He's not a bad person, just misunderstood some of the rules.

We always contact someone when they are removed. Bans are not permanent as long as the issues can be worked out.

He's not a bad person, just misunderstood some of the rules.
I think it was hard because he went from hobbyist to retailer. So as a hobbyist on RC you can frag and sell. But as a retailer, you can't even if its from your personal tank at home. Which is where all his good stuff was anyway.
I doubt if he was spaming and trying to promote his business.
Anyway, hopefully he can get things straightened out and get back on RC.

Thats a bummer. Its been a rough year for him.
That's correct.
The challenge is how do we police this? How do we know if some retailer is selling stuff from his personal tank versus the store? Or ordering stuff through the stores wholesale license and dropping it in the 'home tank' to then post and sell it.
There is no man-power feasible way to do it, so the decision was made to not allow any retailer to sell.
