Snow Flake eel

I was excited to have fish I could hand feed but then read that its a bad thing to do and will lead to mistaken identity where I get bitten

Its always a possibility. I have a set of 12" tweezers for each tank that I use for feeding when needed but most of my eels will just come up and take the food as it drops to the bottom.

This is what I bought to feed my SFE figure gives me a mix of food to try plus I bought a feeding tong[/QUOTE

Not familiar with that one, how is it packaged?

Just in that bag with loss chunks of different see food. I took it out of that and placed it in a ziplock bag and froze it. I figure I will tack a couple couple chunks out a day and feed them to the eel and my other fish.

Here is the label

Just got home and was able to look at your picture better since my cell phone screen is a bit small, you don't want to feed your fish cooked foods. Especially eels. Raw food only.

+1 to raw. Although that looks like a really nice mix. I hope it comes uncooked because I would like to get some.

You can cork that hole with plastic bag, as well.

I spent a hour going to different stores looking for a mix like that of raw only to come up empty :-(. So I ended up wiht a bag of raw shrimp, that I can feed for now.

Is it okay to feed him everyday? What all should I feed him? I can get a bag of mussels raw but thats about all i have found. I am hoping I can feed him this shrimp for a couple days or until I can find a decent deal on other raw sea food.

Wal Mart usually has the seafood mix and it's cheap. I guess most people don't like tentacles in their soup lol. If you have any Spanish style food markets around check those too, they almost always have it.

Raw fish is a good choice. You can get it fresh or frozen and try to use different types luke cod, haddock, flounder etc. You can also use crab, squid, octopus in addition to shrimp. Morays should not be fed every day though. Juveniles 3-4 times per week, adults usuall around twice.
