Snowflake eel and PVC size?

If you had the opportunity to place a PVC "maze" under the sand bed for a SFE what size would you use? Would 1.5 inch be OK or would 2 inch be better?

I would go 2" maybe even 2.5" if possible. You want to ensure the eel has enough room to travel comfertable. I remember someone having their eel get stuck ect.

Thanks, I'll probably go with 2". I was trying to get by with the smallest PVC possible so i don't need a real deep sand bed to cover it up.

You might not need quite as much depth in the sand if you hide it under rockwork nicely......just a thought....

There's a thread in the DIY section dealing w/creating your own rock -- I've never seen it done but it would be awesome to put a PVC maze in DIY rock. If I ever keep an SFE again, I plan to do that.

Sorry that was sort of off-topic. My suggestion: at least 2"

I'd like to know if your Snowflake Eel will even use a PVC house. I built a ton for mine. I made really intracate ones. I am not sure that he even sampled them. My Tess on the other hand loves PVC houses.
