Snowflake eel bite?

like steve said they have very poor eyesight and will mistake your hand for their favorite meal, octopus. i think I read that in one of Jeffery Kurtz's book

My snowflake used to bite me all the time. He was a little guy, so it never meant a trip to the ER or anything.

While I enjoyed having an eel, it's not something I'd ever get again.

i handfeed my snowflake. sometimes i play with him and dont let go of the shrimp, they will wrap around your finger and shake untill they brake a peice off. they wont hurt you like said earlier its just a little pinch and shouldnt break skin. i found that out on accident and never would have tried it, but dont worry they wont it wont hurt you.
