snowflake moray ate niger trigger

Remember the post about my snowflake moray ripping the side of my Niger triggers face off? Well, its face healed up very well. I woke up this morning, and the eel must have eaten it!!! :mad2: The trigger is nowhere to be found, and the eel looks pretty full. Anyone else experience this happening with their snowflakes? :(

how big was your niger?

I know my eel is always trying to get my Arc Eye Hawkfish, but luckily the hawkfish is too big for him.

The trigger was a lot bigger than the eels mouth. But the eel eats huge jumbo shrimp, and has no problem getting them down. Guess I can't put anything in with him... :(

One of our snowflakes i guess went after a yellow damsel. I noticed the other day he had a bite mark on him and now is kind of bloated. I hope he pulls through because i have had him since the very begining, he was my first fish :)

I had a very small snowflake with a white (ghost) ribbon eel -- the two would fight from time to time, briefly, until one day, I saw a chunk (shaped like a bite mark) missing from the dorsal fin of the white ribbon eel. SFE went bye bye to LFS and white eel is fine, fin grew back. I love snowflakes, but won't trust one again.

Next time put a grouper in there or an angler.
Now you would not do that would you? Then why did you put a small trigger with a moray eel?
Use this as a learning experience in the hoby.
Chris
