so i need help

so im looking for some help i was in the new to hobby form and they said to try over here so here i go i have a 8 month old tanks and have always QT fish before going into the DT tank and no issues with ICH. today i noticed a cyst on one of my mated clown fish and my warasse so i have 3 fish total with a 40 gallon system. two of which are showing the little white dots the only thing that has changed is i got some zoa from someone and they went into the tank on tue and now i see the ich what went wrong? what did i do that was wrong? i have the one clown that had the ICH cyst in QT i dont know if i should get the other one since it doesn't have it yet and the wrasse is hiding for the night so i will have to get him in the morning. I started the clown on cuppermine i think it is call What should i do?

If one fish in your DT has ich, the entire system is infested. you should move all fish in the DT to the QT and Treat them there while leaving the tank fallow(fishless.) for 72 days. you said you're already treating a clown with cupramine so you could go that route, but you have a wrasse and they are known to be somewhat sensitive to copper so i recommend using tank transfer method.

Also you didnt mention your quarantine procedures so you could have this covered, but Observation alone is not 100% preventative to introducing ich since it can exist without showing symptoms in otherwise healthy fish. Alot of people Treat for ich with TTM or Medication in addition to quarantine time.

Yea never had ich before what would u recommend instead of cupramine I also got rid ich plus by kordon I have a 10 gallon tank with a uv sterilizer attached with a bubbler and a hang on the back filter with out the carbon because of the copper and a heater 3 of the 4 sides of the qt tank Are blued out there is nothing on the bottom of the tank and some pvc to hide anything else that you would recommend thanks so much I really don't want to. Lose these guys

Its very important you let any equipment used Dry properly before reuse to avoid cross contaminating Tanks. and depending on the species of wrasse you might need a small tupperware container filled with sand so it can sleep and not injure its mouth trying to bury itself unsuccessful.

and as mentioned before even when the treatment is done you will want to wait 10 weeks before putting them back into the DT

If I'm you and your positive you have a disease on 1 fish in your DT, I'm putting every living creature in QT yesterday. 1 diseased fish = everything diseased. Saw your other post, a lot of good info already given. Good luck
