So i picked up a goniopora

Went to my lfs over the weekend and left with a goni for my tank.

No, havent started dosing trace yet. Only kh and ca. From what i've read dosing trace comes into play more with heavy skimming. That goni do better in systems without a skimmer because of that. My system is skimmerless with a good fuge attached to it.

They do tend to like dirtier water.

Read both those prior to purchase. Not the type to impulse buy but rather buy corals to suit my tank. Just happened i was looking for a goni or another bubble and found the goni first. The reefkeeping article is what leaned me more towards getting a goni since my system was close to that.

I give mine a squirt of Coral Frenzy once or twice a week, and they will also grab food scraps from the water column.

picked up a bottle of coral food to use a few times a week. will probably feed when i do my bubble coral. about three or four times weekly.

Thanks, its finally coming along. have to get some additional items to automate stuff but all good for now.
