I was told i need to change my MH bulbs.

Well i bought the set up used so i have no clue how old the bulbs are, and also which bulb is better 10k or 14k?

Also having some issues with water temp since MH are little hot, but fan in the canopy not working so replacing those in few days

Sorry az, have you thought about a 12k . I'm no expert as I run led, but i have read that these are a good all rounder , are you going sps in your reef ? what are you planning on trying to grow, you must have a favourite. Alternatively switch to led and you won't have to hide the electric bill from the missus lol,

yea i have both but 10k is more like the sun and the 14k is to much green (to me)

That just the actinic 160w t12 i have 3MH 250w 1 10k and 2 14k, im trying reef but i mess up already, started the cycle with fish which a BIG NO NO here.

If MH lights are causing temp issues you may want to look into LEDs... run much much cooler. (not saying better, just cooler)

I like the 2x pilers of rock, however you might try to stack them "looser" (i.e. more room for water flow between each rock).

I might remove the center rocks... but thats just me.

Th thermometer is there cause fans didn't work on the canopy so i was checking
thats the fan i use worked how i wanted back then , now is 76/78 ºf (better ) but i will move it to the sump :thumbsup:
