So my weird purchase today

So today i hit up phishys to look at a few things. Well i ended up buying clyde the bristleworm (since ive never seen on in my tank). So ya i like weird things it seems.

No bristleworms are harmless. There scavangers that eat detrius etc. Now if a fish is sick or dead the worm will eat it.

I leave 'em in until they get big. My fear is that once they are big enough, they could go from "helpful scavenger" to "really annoying prdator that kills things I'd like to keep alive in my tank."

Funny my daughter and I were admiring Clyde the other day. I did not check the price though. He looked to be more of a store pet than anything. I'm suprised Serdar and Renee parted with him Aaron may be a bit upset when he gets back and sees him gone :) .

I removed a large bristle worm from my tank about a year ago and kept it in a bottle for a few days, did not have the heart to kill it. Returned it to the tank and now it is over a foot long by far, comes out everyday to feed right after I feed the fish. Great CUC, and has never touched a clam or any other tank inhabitant. Some people use them in their clownfish rearing tanks to clean up the dead fry and any remaining food that could pollute a small tank.
