So, what did you get from the swap today?

So, what did you get from the swap and the raffle today? I got nothing from the raffle, but I'll list the corals I got from the swap in a bit.

Austin and I picked up 2 Miami Hurricane chalices (lack of communication), a rainbow acan echinata, a nice lobo, nuclear greens, a tri color yuma, green yuma, a bunch of zoas, orange cap, frogspawn, and a few other common things I will be sending to my brother in law who just started a tank a few months ago.
I didn't enter the raffle but there were a few things in there I really would have liked to have!

I scored some pretty radical corals.

1. BSP - Brown Star Polyps
2. Anthella
3. Finger leather
4. Brown button polyps
.
.
LOL.

David! I think you made out like a bandit! Were those the LE BSP??? LMAO

I got a huge Miami Hurricane from JTarmitage. A big chunk of Meteor shower cyphastrea, Blue eyed girl zoas, blue eyed devil zoas, lime in the sky, and purple polyp birdnest.

Danielle got Miami hurricane, purple polyp birdnest, green birdnest, blue eyed girl zoas, Devil's Armor zoas, and a red cyphastrea. I'm sure there was more but I can't remember offhand.

And lots of zoas from Steven a.

I put one of my rainbow acans in the mix. I hope some happy person got it! I had some people helping me on my labels and I am not sure if the lighting was added on that one. So if you are out there... it likes low light to get the full rainbow colors! In high lighting it can turn almost all red and orange. :(

I'd trade you for one of the miami hurricanes, LOL.

We moved about two months ago and I haven't had the time to get my reef back up and running. So I spent all day yesterday digging a trench in the rain so my garage doesn't flood. When I saw everyones lists I literally got a tear in my eye :(
I'm happy for you guys... no really.

Nice sounds like it was a great swap I wish I couldve gone but both my tanks are overstocked!

Ha Ha... it is situations like yours that IMHO the true spirit of a frag swap was started. Successful reefers, like it sounds you are, wanted to trim down the now overgrowth in their tanks, but not necessarily deal with the effort to post and sell it, but simply take it down and see what others might be able to do with it. I could be wrong but it seems to make sense to me.

Not to steal any thunder here but details to come about CRC's 2011 swap pending. :D Dan, We'd love to have you again!

Exactly! We usually have a reefer or two who just drop off a box of frags and they don't even want to pick anything. Some of our meeting raffle tables have been filled by a single person just cleaning house. :D

I am also looking forward to hearing about the CRC swap. :bounce3:

Hey Tina, One of them needs to color up but once it does I will be doing some trading!

THANKS!

Gotta look at the list but I remember my favorite is the $500 efflo, what color is everybody elses when you got it in the tank? Mine has a greenish base.

OK, looked at the containers and this is what I got:

Unknown birds nest
$500 efflo R.A.R.E.
some sort of cap from Mayer of whoville (this is how it was labeled, LOL)
Tubs purple polyp b.n.
Purple thick base with green polyps acro from Boviac (really nice)
Super Walmart Micromussa from Western Reefer
Bright Green BN from Auntbeez
True Leng Sy Cap Auntbeez (unfortunately this one didn't make it, was sliming and smelly when I opened the container at home :().
Also, a blue ridge coral.

I would like a list of what R.A.R.E Dwayne brought. I remember seeing a lot of EF corals from him. Definately one of the most abundant EF corals I've seen in a long time.
