For those of you who have done business with them, how long did it take you to get a quote? I'm dyin to give them my money for a tank, sump and stand but they have not replied to my quote request, email or voice mail.

Are there any other reputable tank makers in Socal?

Thanks.

I received a response overnight, did you try their personal emails listed on their site?Maybe they're on vacation.

I can say from experience that I had nothing but a pleasurable experience with them. The sump construction and delivery were better than promised. I would communicate via email and voice and had no problems ever contacting them. Please be patient and give them a chance. Once you make contact you will be well taken care of. My initial email was responded to within a couple days if I remember correctly.

yup, I sent a request via their web form, and sent a request on all of their email addresses on their website besides their paypal one. Called them and left a message. It's been over a week since I first submitted a quote request.

Just wondering what the turn around was for a quote, i'm not complaining or anything. I'm just very eager to get my new set up started on :)

Mine took about a week or almost a week when I was inquiring about a canopy. After the initial reply it was constantly once a day or once every two days. Quality work! I got my canopy done there and anything else in the future will be from there as well.

I e-mailed them asking where to send payment for a 36 by 24 by 12 tank. NEVER heard anything back from them.

Went with 36 by 18 by 15 @ petsco save me 200 buck, but it's glass.

I heard lots of good stuff about them, but never recieve any respond back from them after month of waiting.

they just contacted me right now.... they said they were away till the 3rd of july, so they will contact me as soon as they return.... i was waiting for a reply for about a week as well!!!

Ah, that explains everything! Damn now the difficult task of waiting. I sold a bunch of stuff this week to completely fund a new complete setup and now I have all this money waiting to be spent! The agony!

I guess I'll just have to ponder on what equipment to buy till I hear from them.

Thanks for the replies.

Isaax,
Im on the same boat. As of right now, im pretty much looking into the pumps for sump/closed loops. What size tank are you having made?

Would definately go with Randy @ socal creations, I am having them build me a new stand canopy and sump soon. Great work

Isaax,

I'm deciding on whether a 36x20x20 or a 36x24x20 eurobraced. I have a recessed wall in the livingroom that used to be a closet that measures 58" long x 30" deep x 8' high that was converted to a little cove for my current set up. I currently have a 40G Uniquarium that's been running a reef for the past 6 yrs. I'm pretty much tired of dealing with that set up as I've been wanting a sump under the tank for the longest time. The tank is also bowing in the front now and I'm tired of looking at it. I'm replacing all the equipment except the lighting fixture (36" Sunpod 2x150w MH) I need to keep the length of the tank at 36" to be able to use my lighting and to be able to accomodate my chiller and auto top off system on the side of the tank.

I think i'm leaning towards the 24" depth. I want to try to do my rocks in the back and try to leave as much empty space towards the front so that sand stars or other sand crawling critters can be observed easily. I'm also wanting that space as sort of a shadey zone if I hang my lights directly over my rock work, it'll create sort of a drop off in light intesity to create a deeper water effect compared to the rock work. Hmm did that make any sense? LoL

What's your measurements going to be?

I emailed them on their website, I got a price quote back within 1 week. I sent them a replied asking where to send payment and other option. They never respond, this was back in May.

I guess they have a black list for people asking too much questions..LOL
