SODIUM HYDROXIDE / LYE needed

Anyone know a local source for lye?
I ordered online last time as its pure and food grade. If I order online, anyone need some? Shipping is more than the lye and I wouldn't mind buying for a few to spread the shipping cost out.

locally you can get ms. wages pickling lime from wegmans. I don't think it's pharmacutical grade.

Search the URS forum for TMZ's thread on GFO regeneration , but the quick is the lye strips the phosphates off of GFO and lets you reuse it.

I'd go in on an order with you but just got 4 2lb jugs of sodium hydroxide(lye). Enough for a year or more. I don't know where to get it locally. Any soap making hobbyists should have some.

The 8lb on-sale online so it balances a little of the shipping. Either way its cheaper than replacing GFO.
