Soft coral care

Been running my tank for about 6 months now, got 2 clown fish, cleaner shrimp and a gobby. I now want to add some soft corals to my 20 gallon tank but i was just wondering would i need to dose any elements in the tank because this confuses me and haven't done this in my tank before:headwally:. However i have heard that weekly water changes, the salt mix with provide some of this and therefore make the corals healthy along with feeding them?

Yes, most of them can thrive only with water changes. If you have high consumption of Ca, Mg and KH, the changes should be larger or more frequent.
Stability is the key.

my 120 gal. softie/lps tank has been running for 2 1/2 years and I don't dose anything. 15% bi-weekly wc's are enough.

I'm the same way as 3dees, but I do a 20% wc every two weeks. I'm pretty heavy LPS though and at some point I'll probably have to start dosing. But since I use Instant Ocean Reef Crystals it's keeping me from having to do any dosing for a while. If all you're going to have are softies, then chances of you having to dose anything is nil.
