Soft Starters

Looking for a low cost Soft Start Motor control (where to buy or build) .

I want to control some high power pumps with my Wavemaster without the start up "Clunk"

Tunze has some expensive but nice ones. they also have wave machines available. REEF-ON!!!

I understand that a SEIO controller is coming out at the end of the summer. It's not exactly a low cost starter, but what I read so far sounds really nice.

I have a controller.

What I want to find is a Soft Start device or plans to build one. I know it takes a RL circuit with Triac but I need values and Traic model number.
