ive been feeding very small amounts(1/4 capfull) of dt phytoplankton to my softies about once a week and notice that i get algae growth on the glass at evey feeding. any suggestions? now im getting red slime algae. running a 30 gal with t 5s. i do the same with the 12 gal biocube and never have algae.

Feeding phytoplankton is fine, so long as you don't add so much that you begin to pollute your tank. Definitely keep up on the water changes to remove any excess nutrients from your tank.

Feeding phytoplankton is fine, so long as you don't add so much that you begin to pollute your tank. Phytoplankton doesn't only benefit your corals, but it also benefits your microfauna population. Definitely keep up on the water changes to remove any excess nutrients from your tank.

red slime algae is the result of phosphates and not enough flow. Keep up on water changes and you may also want to add a PH.
