Solar tube placement

We had plans to put a solar tube skylight in the room that will house our future reef setup. The lens filters out UV light and puts out as much light as a 100 watt bulb. I was thinking this wouldn't affect the aquarium, but what do you guys think?

I thought it would be fine, but I just wanted to make sure. I'm going to use one between our dining room and kitchen to brighten it up a bit.
The way it is now, we have to use the lights during the day. I found some that were storm tested using the machine that launches 2 x 4 boards at 35mph. The ones at lowes looked to be fragile.

Lowe's has everything you need to test it in situ.

PVC to make a "potato cannon" , propane for propellant ,and a banister spindle would have made a nice projectile. Admittedly you'd have to guesstimate the velocity but you could have come up with a ballpark idea.

That sounds like a cool project for a meeting. Does anyone want their Honda Civic or anything else "storm tested?" This really could be a public service to help inform people about flying storm debris.;)
