some clam questions

I am in the process of working on a 29gal and I'd like to talk about clams (build thread: http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=10030137 )

1) Would it be possible to have a clam in a 29 gal?

2) If so, what would my lighting requirments be? Would 4x24in T5s be strong enough? Or would I have to go MH?

Well, I had a 29gal for about 8 months with a crocea in it that did great. I ran a tek light 4X24 watt T5s. T5 lighting is perfectly fine for clams. As long as your other parameters are in check (calcium, alk, phosphates) a clam or two or three can do just fine under that kind of lighting. However, don't rush out and buy one first thing. Wait until the tank is matured (at least 3-4 months IMO).

i'm using on my t5 4x39w 10,000 k daylight and 460 nm antinics.

T5s with good individual reflectors would be great for clams. In a 29, I'd recommend a T. Crocea since they don't grow as large.
