Aaron:

What amazing images you've created! I love the clarity and details in the highlights- really professional quality! How'd you get those buggers to stay still for their session? Just kidding, did you do manual focus or autofocus?

These are trillions of times better than any tank portraits I have! I think when you capture the personality of a subject it becomes a portrait- which you've done quite well. I'm new to tank photography but have a lot of experience with people portraits and something I strived for was lighting from multiple sources. Our tanks are lighted from above (obviously) but have you considered or attempted adding a side light? Would make the sea creatures more 3D and bring out more colors that we barely get to see because they move so fast.

Maybe window light or a monolight? Again, you've created some really inspirational pieces here! Thanks for sharing your gift!

Hi SpentAllMyMoney.

Thanks for the feedback, that's very kind. A remote flash I can command from the camera is on my list of things to buy. Unfortunately I've not got round to it yet.

Cheers.

No issues whatsoever... Although I don't have any shrimp in my reef. After seeing what it does to river shrimp I wouldn't like to chance adding any lol.
