Some Hitchhikers from the swap

I wear gloves when fragging, but that's more to protect the corals than myself. Between my own tanks and working at various stores, I've had countless bristles injected into my finger (easy to remove if you've got a sharp knife handy) and routinely pick up and move anemones barehanded (Condys, BTAs, carpets, whatever). They stick but they don't sting me at all. Haven't tried any venomous fish yet!

The 6 finger sea star is bad. They eat sps. here is a link about them on GARF's website. The first one is the original post and the second is a update.

I just started reading this thread.....are these bad?

Geesh, I have many of these in this frag tank.

them are asterina stars which are what was being discussed in the beggining of this thread. Ive had them in all my nanos and now got them in my 40 breeder and ive never had them give me trouble...knock on wood :) but i know ive read on garf's site that they claim there bad but from everyone ive heard talk about them say they never had trouble with them either and i few other articles ive read on the net say there not bad either.

I think they only eat dying zoas or stressed ones... I pull them out whenever I see them, but only in one of my tanks... :) I don't know why, maybe cause thats the only one I've seen an asterina on a zoo in... :D

CHEESE.......... :lolspin:
