Some interesting tube worm growth

Since making one of my tanks skimmerless, the featherdusters have really taken off. Just about every rock in the 29 gallon has some colony growing on it. Just figured I would share some pictures.

Some are as large as an inch in diameter:

they can really take off if the conditions suit them

here is a pic of a candy I threw in my sump for months with almost no light or flow......

you might also find it interesting to know that the system that happened in has a large skimmer and zero nuisance algae. I wouldnt necessarily call it low nutrient system but the water is very clean
