I was wondering on some of my sps I noticed some kind of black looking bug. Are these red bugs? These bugs move quickly. The reason I noticed is on my green milli i noticed white marks which looked like bite marks. So I started the investigation with A maginfied glass. I have some corals that are bleached and Im wondering if this is why?

Sounds like aefw to me if you see bite marks.

There are other things that will leave marks besides flatworms lol. Everyone always wants to jump to the worms. I have had these black bugs and had the same marks. Treat the tank with intercepter and be done with it.

how do u treat with intercepter? what is the dosage for 120 gallons of water? will it kill my snails, pods, and shrimp in the tank?
thanks..

One large pill will treat roughly 380 gallons, so about 1/3rd of a pill would do your tank for a single treatment. Ideally 3 treatments a week apart would be done with a water change and carbon run betwen each. Milbemycin oxime is effective against arthropods, so your shrimp, crabs and pods are likely to be killed. Snails, clams and fish are unaffected. Enough pods will survive to repopulate quickly afterwards. I've had a fire shrimp survive. Ideally you would quarantine your shrimp and crabs in a separate water system while treating the main one. There's a sticky about the process.
