I have posted these in the LPS forum, but I thought they came out quite well so thought I would let you guys take a look as well.

Very nice fuzed ....being that I am a fellow 300D owner, glad to see that there are a few of us still out there that haven't upgraded :D

Awesome clarity with the pics and incredible looking corals as well. So are you overall happy with the lens? I'm just curious since I will be saving up for a macro lens in the future and wanted to get some opinions.

Great images and crystal clear....mind sharing what settings you had it on (Aperature?).

hi Adam, yeah its a great little camera but sad to say it will be replaced with the 400d some time this year, it does a great job for the moment though.

All the pics were taking free hand (without a tripod), using AV mode, cant remember the settings at the moment will have to take a look at the pics I think i set the apeture to 2.8, the can't remember the ISO settings.

NO flash was used to to the halides being on, and I always find its casts shadows when taking macro shots.

The tamron lens is awesome, I picked it up when I was in hong kong in july for about half of what we would pay for it in the UK. I wouldn't part with it now... its going to be a lens I use more and more... ;)

Thanks for the info. fuzed. I agree that someday in the near future I will upgrade the ol' 300d but I've been able to get some great images out of it. I've found out that the majority of my shooting depends more on the lens that I have (I currently have a Canon 70-200F4L, 17-40F4L) than the camera itself, unless of course you want to blow something up poster size :)

I will definitely consider the Tamron vs. the Canon 100mm F2.8 since it appears to be from what I've read and seen on here a great lens as well.

the cost justified the tamron for me, there was just no competition when it came to it, the pictures it gives are stunning, and with the right settings you can do alot more...

I do have a few other lenses that I use, the canon 50mm f1.8 is great, don't take many shots of the tank with it, but it gives good results...
I also use a sigma 18-200 DG (which again, doesnt get used much for the tank).

Nice colors.

You shot these at:
1/80, f2.8, ISO 200.

You might want to use a pod and shoot with a higher aperature to increase DOF.

Thanks, i will have a play an see if I can get a few better shots... :)
I'm actually looking for a manfrotto 190pro, but still deciding on the head... will probably get one after the new year... :)

Those are some intense shots! I wish i could get pics like that!

Think I could have gotten much better if i'd had a tripod... :)
