I have been practicing a bit with the cam. How do these look?

Looking pretty good. I think playing around with the white balance may help.

Im shooting raw and messing with the white balance after. But you are right i do need to learn to use the white balance a bit better but, not bad being this is my first DSLR cam. Just got it for Xmas so im pleased with the improvement i made since i got it! Thanks for looking!

I wouldn't worry about lenses just yet.

Pick up a copy of "Closeups in Nature" by John Shaw. It's geared toward film but the concepts are the same. You're getting pretty decent results, you just need to practice.

Definitely not. What I meant was that you were doing pretty well, for being new to the camera.
