gorgeous fish, especially like the lineatus fairy wrasse.. beautiful colors. how is the personality compared to other wrasses? hanging out fine with the tangs and angels in your pics?
At first there was some shyness on the part of the Lineatus, then the Kole tang picked on him a little but now they all get along fine. It was probably just the newness and it often occurred around feeding time and even then not that often.
They may be a little cramped for our 100 gallon, but we are working on an in wall 240 right now and hope to have them in a bigger space within another month or so.
Oddly enough the Lamark Angel is the current bully. Althgouth not really that bad in general, and only picks on the lineatus, but still, he picked the wrong fish to pick on, so look for a "free to good home" post on him soon
had ours for just over a week now, but again, ours is a completely covered tank, always has been (so there was no "light shock" to our corals, etc if we had added the cover later).
I am not sure about your question Gresham, I don't recall having mentioned where they were from. But as it happens, I ordered them, and some other livestock, directly from Hawaii.
Although the Lineatus was imported by the supplier from Australia
most definitely. Can't wait to start populating the new tank (well, can't wait to have the new tank up and running either ). You are tops on our list to order from when we are ready
Did you pick them up from Hawaii and brought them back as a carry on or did you have it shipped back? If it was a carry on how did the airlines handle it?
Thanks zemuron114 for the PM on your fish collecting tips. Definately will try to meet you in Oct when Im in Hawaii.
