thats awesome. 2 questions though, what kind of anemone? also, in the third pic, what kind of fish is that on the right?

Thanks my picasso just joined in on the fun!
Its a ritteri anemone and the fish on the right is an eibli angel fsh

Thanks alot! Im not sure if its considered onyx or just a true perc, it was wild caught. I dont think it has enough black to be considered a true onyx. But its getting blacker everyday

that is a great picture of the angel, I have the same angel and I cannot get it to hold still for a second.....very wirery

thats awesome! Congrats, I wish mine would find my LTA. They wont even look at it but the LTA has only been in there for about 2 months. Plus he has been wondering around and JUST found a good spot about a week ago so I am hoping that in time they will dive into it.

Great pictures!

Beautiful anemone and clown. It's always nice to see a natural symbiont combination that appears to be thriving in an aquarium.

Thank you both.
fasteddie: Hopefully yours will find your lta.
I just chose to look for one of the natural host being that 1 out of my clowns are wild caught so i figured i'd give it a shot. Hopefully this anemone does good they are known for not thriving to well in many aquariums.

It's true that many H. magnifica do not survive in aquariums; however, if you get a healthy one to begin with, they seem to be quite hardy. I have a H. magnifica that come November, I will have had 8 years. Although I have tried to maintain excellent water quality, and have for the most part, there have been periods of elevated nitrates and temperatures in the mid to upper 80s . The anemone is doing fine and almost 3 years ago assexually divided. So, you look like you're off to a good start. Take care of it and you will likely have it for many years to come.
