Switched to Ushio 10k and 4 54w Blue+ T5. Looks alot brighter than the 14k did.Tank's 6 month's old.

just ordered 10 ushio 250w bulb.. glad to see those pics. i was worried about the color. nice tank btw!

Looks great! I used to run 10k ushios on my 175 watt hamilton magnetic ballasts and loved them. When I went with the 250 watt pfo m80 ballast I started with the 10k XM and now I am running the 10k reeflux. My next bulbs will be the 10k ushios when its time.

I have only had them in since Friday but I must say they are quite bright. I thought that I would loose some "pop" to the colors of the corals going from 14k to 10k but I think it looks more natural now and the corals seem to really be liking the extra intensity. They are not yellow at all just a real crisp white. The added 216 watts of D&D blue+ T5's is just enough blue but not to much that it makes everything blueish like was the case with the 14k.

Now let the growth begin.......I'm hoping
