Some of my Zoo's .. anything special? Pics

I know there are TONS of zoos out there that are hard to find or have special names .. but I have no idea what they are. I just go to the LFS and if I like what they have, I get em.

So, this is what I have:

My first colony looked like this (mostly brown with orange centers)...

However after I switched to a 150w MH they look like this now (some more purple, some green, who knew!)

Then I got a nice ball of green zoos that have grown tremendously - this pic does not do them justice ..

But my all time favorites are these ...

Nice collection so far. I bet in a year or so, your collection of zoas will be dramatically more than it is right now.

You should buy some zoas on the internet. Most LFS don't have really good zoas.

I actually managed a LFS for about three years, and it's really really difficult to get nice zoas. However, you can find some extraordinary deals on really nice ones if you become friendly with the person doing the ordering and find out exactly when the shipments come in. About 1/4 of the time I would order zoas, we would get something that I hadn't seen before, usually wild collected ones out of fiji. Most of the time ordering online is a better bet, but every once in a while you can find something great...

Nice zoanthids....I have gotten most of my zoas in trades with a LFS here that specializes in zoanthids. I have only gotten a few on-line. Mostly trades with other reefers is the best way to go...
